Glencoe House

Suite 1 was enormous yet cosy, and we loved the privacy and comfort there for our anniversary weekend. The hot tub was perfectly positioned to look towards kinlochleven; watching the clouds lift in the mornings and the darkness arrive at night was lovely. Glencoe House is also well placed for exploring the area and Fort William, while the suite itself gave us the calm and rest we needed. We really didn’t want to leave. James greeted us at the door, and the arrival gifts were a thoughtful touch. Staff were friendly and professional throughout, and dinner and breakfast were served beautifully, with impressive table settings. We ate dinner there one night, and the food was top quality. Breakfast both mornings offered a brilliant choice. The minibar was a nice option for something to have with dinner, and the prices were quite reasonable, even though we’d brought some things of our own. We used the Bluetooth speaker during our stay, and there were plenty of complimentary toiletries, a Dyson hairdryer, an iron and board, and water. We celebrated our 10th anniversary here and had such a memorable time. We’d love to return.

The Lodge had everything we needed, including a hot tub, and the scenery around Glencoe House was wonderful. We enjoyed the walk around the Loch too. The first-class staff did all they could to make the stay special. Glencoe House belongs on your must-stay list.

My in-laws stayed at Glencoe House on Saturday, 5th April 2025, and came away saying it had surpassed every expectation. Their room was spotless and welcoming, with a breathtaking view from every window. The huge bathroom, hot tub and private balcony felt luxurious, while the house itself still felt warm and homely. They especially loved their private in-room dining, with beautiful views throughout. They described every course of the three-course meal as the best food they’d ever tasted, and said each plate looked almost too good to eat. The staff were attentive, friendly and clearly keen to make the stay perfect. They shared the house’s history, offered lots of ideas for exploring the surroundings and gardens, and went out of their way to help. The lovely setting, luxurious room and thoughtful service made it unforgettable. Special thanks to general manager Graham Steven for listening and getting everything sorted.

We spent two wonderful nights at Glencoe House for our elopement wedding in Glencoe on 25.3.25. Room 6, the house and grounds were beautiful, with amazing views, a huge bathroom and a fabulous shower. The staff were brilliant, and the service felt personal as well as professional. I had my bridal hair and makeup done in the living room and left quite a mess, which they’d cleaned and tidied beautifully by the time we got back. Sorry again about that! Our evening meal in the suite was excellent, as were breakfast each morning and the chef’s food in general. Being served so comfortably in our suite made the wedding day feel especially luxurious and relaxed. We’re so grateful to Glencoe House and everyone there for making the stay memorable, and can’t wait to come back for anniversaries. Thanks again, the new Mr and Mrs Ellis x
