We came for a birthday trip and had no complaints. The rooms were tidy and clean, and although a little small, they felt cosy. Front-of-house staff were brilliant and happy to help, even setting up the hot tub and sauna in the heavy rain from storm David. Dana deserves a special mention: she made us a couple of fantastic breakfasts and even slipped the dog a couple of sausages. The location was great for walks around glen coe, and the views were phenomenal. We’d happily recommend a stay to friends and family. Thank you.

For four of us, two adults and two kids, there was just one double bed, and the room was so cramped we could barely open our bags. It felt like a hostel being passed off as an inn. Things looked tidy at first glance, but grime had built up in less visible spots. We paid the same for this room, with no services, as we did for five-star hotels in Skye, flodigarry and skeaboast, which had beautiful grounds and lots of amenities.

We stopped for a drink by the fish and chip bar, with easy access from the A82. The place was closed, so I used the car park and slope to sled with a 3 year old. I can’t comment on the J side, but the car park was blocked off and there were signs on the doors to let visitors know. It looked nice through the windows.

After a great day in the mountains, this was a lovely warm and welcoming spot to unwind over a meal. The setting in the Scottish Highlands is stunning, and the food felt like fine dining at its best.

I only popped in for a beer while walking the West Highland Way, I didn’t stay. It might be the friendliest stop on the trail. Good beer selection, and the staff were lovely.
