After finishing the Affric Kintail Way, we stayed one night at Steading Highland Glen Lodge, and it was a perfect place to recover from such a long, demanding walk. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared for guests, and the atmosphere was warm and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and just what we needed to get going the next day. Highly recommended for people completing the trail or exploring the area.

The landlady was definitely the highlight of our stay in Clan Room No. 2. She was caring, friendly, helpful and very funny. The room had a spacious living area, a large bathroom and comfy beds. Everything was spotlessly clean, and breakfast was delicious. We hope we get the chance to come back.

This was the worst stay of our trip through Scotland. The host didn't actually do anything wrong, but her attitude drove us away. The rooms weren't dirty, but we still felt uncomfortable in them. There were rules for everything, with signs everywhere telling us to follow them. And the price for two pizzas and four expired Cokes was outrageous. Plenty of rules, but we didn't feel welcome at all!

The full Scottish breakfast was a real highlight, with local ingredients and traditional favourites that kept us going for a day exploring beautiful Glen Affric. We also had lovely chats with our host, who knew the area well and felt a bit like a local guide. The B&B in Glen Lodge was spotless, and the thoughtful decor gave it a warm, friendly feel. From the moment we arrived, the cosy atmosphere made us feel at home. We had a delightful stay and can’t say enough good things about it.

Breakfast had loads of choice and was amazing, and the host was friendly and enthusiastic. The spaces felt cosy, and everything was very clean, though the cleaning-product smell hung around. There wasn’t much natural light in our private space, with just one window, and the beds felt a bit hard for us.
