I like the garden, which is spacious and a great spot to sit in the sun. The place has two bedrooms and is quite big. The rooms feel like they were designed some time ago, but that look grows on you. There's a separate washer and dryer, though you can also hang clothes outside. WiFi is available, and Hadfield station is within walking distance for cheap train tickets into Manchester. The thermostat didn't seem accessible to guests, but that was fine in warmer weather. During one stay, there was a toilet problem and the owner sorted it quickly. Off road parking has room for two cars parked one behind the other. It's my favourite place to stay when I'm working in Glossop.

The four poster bed was wonderfully comfortable, and the cottage was spacious and exceptionally clean, with all the safety requirements met. It felt like a home from home, with everything needed to cook for ourselves and plenty of local information. It's a beautiful detached cottage with parking, close to the high street and pubs. The owner gave us a very warm welcome and was helpful and informative. This was our first visit, but we'll definitely return. Excellent without a doubt. Jan, Rotherham.

The rooms were a nice size, with comfortable beds and good bedding. Everything was clean, and the big garden was lovely. Thank you, Pat, for a great stay at Burnswark. You were very helpful and communicative. I'd come back.
