The rooms were arranged around a central courtyard and felt warm and cosy. They were spacious, very clean and beautifully decorated. Our family room had both a shower and a jacuzzi bath, which our eight-year-old loved. There was no corridor noise, and the double glazing kept out the road noise. We also enjoyed the walks around the grounds, so we didn't need to drive somewhere to walk the dogs. We came in December with our two daughters, two dogs and the grandparents. From the accommodation through to breakfast, Dark Barn Lodge was faultless. The easiest recommendation ever!

We had a wonderful stay, and the surroundings are beautiful. The bed was comfortable, breakfast excellent, and our hosts were lovely and gracious. We'd like to come back, so thank you again for everything. Best wishes from Germany.

My partner and I were really impressed. It's a beautiful place to stay, the accommodation is amazing, and the owners and staff are friendly. I'd definitely recommend The Dark Barn Lodge to anyone wanting a calm, relaxing experience.

I was in the area for work and really liked the setting. I didn't have enough time to explore more, though I would have liked to. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the proprietors were very friendly. I'd stay again.

A nice spot with extensive grounds and good service at a reasonable price. It works well for events in Gloucester and for trips to either the Cotswold or Forest of Dean.
