There was one small nuisance for us, the all-in-one TV remote didn't offer subtitles. The WiFi was fine, with no issues, and there was a recently installed Now TV box. The pool table is quite old but usable, and there's one TV in the lounge. We found the location, size and service great for the property, and it met our needs for a two-week family holiday. Still, it felt more like a converted business that had lost some of its homely appeal. The solid fire doors are heavy and awkward for younger family members, and the facilities seem better suited to large groups using it as a base than to living in. There are steps at both entrances, and the basic back garden has grass, a trampoline and a BBQ area in the corner.

The stay was pleasant, but the house needs quite a bit of maintenance. The decor is tired and could use a refresh, the dishwasher worked poorly and stopped altogether while we were there, and the beds need updating. The mattress wasn't too bad, but the solid base made it very uncomfortable. With so many bedrooms, a couple of en suites would help, even if they were just wash areas.

The staff at Complete Holiday Homes were helpful, and otherwise everything was good. Now TV didn't work, but it didn't matter much. If you're using the travel cot they supply, bring bedding including a mattress, as it only comes with the folding base. Otherwise, you'll need to use a spare duvet for your little one.

The kitchen facilities were great, the beds were comfortable, and the place was beautifully decorated with art and Christmas decorations. It's about 10 minutes from the town centre and harbour. The garden is nice, with a trampoline the kids and adults can enjoy.
