The Saddle Room Restaurant

The bar and restaurant, where breakfast was served, were just as stunning and well presented as the rest of the venue. We had dinner there too, and the price felt good for the high quality of the food. The staff were lovely. Our room was stunning, well looked after, nicely decorated, and incredibly quiet and peaceful in the evening. Breakfast was included and top quality. The location and building are beautiful, with plenty of parking on site, and check-in was easy. All the staff were friendly and professional. We stayed here while visiting The Forbidden Corner. If you're after a quality country retreat, you can't go wrong with this place. Highly recommended!

We loved the map showing the local produce they use, and the menu has lots of choice. The food was delicious, and the decor makes the place feel quite unique. Service was a letdown, though. Six of us had to share one drinks menu, which arrived a while after the food menu, and the staff didn't really listen or pay much attention to the table. I'd still recommend it for the very nice food.

The room was nice, the beds were comfortable, and everything was spotlessly clean, so we had an enjoyable stay. We were in a ground-floor B&B room, ate dinner there, then had breakfast the next morning. The food was super tasty, and we appreciated the focus on quality. Breakfast was a standard full British, nice but without local produce. The surroundings are breathtaking, with plenty of walking areas nearby and charming cottages and buildings offering a variety of options. We'll certainly visit again later, when the forbidden garden will open.

The Saddle Room and restaurants made for a wonderful stay, with service I'd rate 5/5. Check-in was smooth, and staff showed us to our room. There's dedicated free parking, and the room was bright, neat, and clean, with everything you could need, right down to shower caps. The shower pressure was amazing, and the food was amazing too. Book dinner so you don't miss out on the sweet delicacies. It's perfect for one or two nights while visiting the Yorkshire Dales, with nearby sites that are easy to drive to, as well as trails and beautiful walks. If I could go on, I would.
