Elton Guest House

Jean and Shaun were kind, caring hosts and helped us with local information. We had a happy, relaxing stay at Elton Guest House, with fabulous breakfasts and a comfortable home-from-home feel. We loved everything. Many thanks.

I stayed for five days and was really pleased with it. The rooms were spotless, and the beds were the most comfortable I’ve slept in, perfect for my back. Jean and Shaun are so friendly and can’t do enough for you. There’s a games room with free pool and darts, lovely gardens at the back, and an upstairs TV room where you can spend time with other guests. Breakfast was delicious too. I’ll definitely be back.

I was in Grange over Sands for work, and this was definitely the best job and location I’ve had in a long time. The hosts were excellent, breakfast was really nice and the food quality was great. My room was spotless and the shower pressure was brilliant.

We stayed here for two nights in May and had a great time. We came by train, and the guest house is about a five-minute walk from Grange Over Sands station. Our room was lovely, had everything we needed, with a good shower and comfortable seats. There’s a second-floor sitting room stocked with books, leaflets and guides to walking routes and local sights. The hosts were wonderfully helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast was great, with cooked options as well as cereal and fruit. The whole place was clean and nicely decorated. It’s competitively priced for the area and well placed for getting to the Lakes, so we’d stay again. There are places to eat in town, nothing special but fine for a meal, and both a Co-op and Tesco are within a ten-minute walk. The long promenade makes for a pleasant sunny walk looking over the bay.
