Ross gave the four of us, dogs included, a very warm welcome and explained the biomass boiler thoroughly. It worked just as he said throughout our three-night stay. We had plenty of hot water, comfortable beds, and both baths and showers. The hand soap in the kitchen and bathrooms was much appreciated. The open-plan lounge, dining area and kitchen suited us well, and the kitchen had loads of utensils, crockery and pans. We had enough fridge space with the two fridges, and Ross said a fridge-freezer would be added soon, so extra freezer space will be a bonus next time. We had to keep the dogs on leads in the garden. The gate was due back after repainting, which would let our golden retriever off lead next time, but the smaller, inquisitive spaniel could still slip through the hedge at the side. Street parking in front of Tulach Ard was never a problem, and there was room behind too if needed. We were very happy there and will no doubt return.

Doug made lovely breakfasts, and we enjoyed chatting with him. He even took time to cuddle our baby so we could enjoy breakfast. The hosts, Claire and Doug, made our stay a happy one. The room felt a little small with a baby, and the beds could have been better, but we enjoyed ourselves very much.

I've spent two summer holidays with Claire and Doug and am already planning a third. They're wonderful hosts who know how to get around everywhere, will call to make reservations, and really want to show Scotland at its best. The accommodation is spotless, comfortable and has everything we needed, better than some five-star hotels I've stayed in. Breakfasts are outstanding too. I can't say enough good things about Tulach Ard, and I'm already looking forward to returning for Scotland, the Highlands, Tulac Ard and the MacKenzies.

We had a wonderful stay at Tulach Ard House in Grantown-on-Spey, Aug 24-25-26, and only wished we could have stayed longer. Claire was a gracious host and a good cook, serving a full Scottish breakfast. The purpose-built B&B is modern, with a great room, fridge, step-free entry and a wheelchair ramp if needed. Guests also have full use of the kitchen, living and dining areas. There's off-street parking, and it's at one end of downtown, so easy to walk everywhere without being amid the traffic. Rates were reasonable. We'd highly recommend Tulach Ard House. Wayne & Donna, Penticton BC Canada.

Claire and Douglas were marvelous hosts. Wonderful place, and a must-stay in the area.
