We came all the way from Germany to experience the British countryside and had a wonderful time in this lovely cottage. It was just as we'd imagined a quaint English cottage: warm, cosy, and full of charm.

We enjoyed a few pints of ale at the Black Horse and found some interesting shops in the village. The cosy cottage had good views, and it was nice having a wood burner. Parking was better than we expected. With the dry weather, we managed to do more walking.

The company was absolutely incredible, and the curry was good too. There are great pubs around here, and the stay was decent. Would I come back? Definitely, if my cat dies and leaves me some money in her will.

Parking was easy, and the hosts were lovely. The cottage was spotless and had a well-equipped kitchen. It’s only a three-minute walk into town, too. Such a cosy little place, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay at the Shippon.
