The Old Lodge

The staff were lovely and made us feel very welcome. We came over from Australia to visit family and spent a couple of days at The Old Lodge. The location was great, the room was perfect and breakfast was awesome. A fantastic stay all round.

John and the staff were really friendly and helpful, and made us feel at home during our long weekend. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bar had a friendly atmosphere both nights. One chap played sing-along songs on his guitar, and we couldn’t resist joining in. We can’t wait to return.

We had a lovely starter and an amazing pudding, and there was a nice garden with a bouncy castle. We’d booked seats ahead for Sunday evening as a group of 14, including four children. The staff were lovely. There was a bit of confusion with the orders, but with so many Sunday roasts and most of us choosing different meals, I put it down to the size of our group.

John was so helpful, what a lovely guy. The Old Lodge is a great little affordable hotel. We had an easy, pleasant 20-minute walk along the coast to the venue we were going to in Gosport. Our room was spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was fantastic, a proper Full English and worth every penny.
