We only had one night here because we were going to a wedding, but I would highly recommend it. The breakfast was amazing, and Sharon and Dave couldn't do enough for us. It's a beautiful 17th-century farmhouse in an amazing setting on a working farm. Our room was cosy, with a lovely bedroom and a comfortable bed.

The home was beautiful, the room really comfortable, and the people were so welcoming. It's a good spot for exploring the local area. One small thing, a sign by the roadside would help. It was dark when we arrived, so the place was a little hard to spot.

Breakfast was great, we had pancakes, and being on a working farm meant we could go and pet the cows. I'm not sure they all liked it, though a couple seemed to. The house has a neat history: it was built in the 1600s, then after a fire the kitchen was rebuilt and another level added in 1701. With a house that old, the ceilings and doorways are low, so tall people should keep that in mind. Our room was warm, but opening a window helped. My only complaint was that the bathroom might not have been fully cleaned after the previous guest. The hand towel looked well used, and there was hair on the floor that wasn't ours. Still, that wouldn't put me off staying. It felt like visiting your grandparents and sleeping in a huge feather bed. If you love the countryside and a bit of peace and quiet, you'll love it here. Sharon, the owner, was wonderful.

Fresh eggs straight from the farm made for a killer breakfast, and I only wish I'd brought some home. It was so peaceful staying in this unique place, close to all the animals. Knutsford and Hale are a short taxi ride away. I can't recommend it enough. Thanks again, Sharon!

Sharon and Dave are so nice and always happy to help. The beds are very comfortable, breakfast is delicious, and the garden is gorgeous. I've stayed at Birtles farm several times and absolutely love the homely, comfortable decor. The peace, quiet and views all around make it ideal for a few relaxing nights. No negatives at all.
