Parking was fine and the receptionist was friendly, but the rest of my stay was poor. The bathroom was grim, with brown marks on the wall by the tissue holder, and the cleaning clearly hadn't been good enough. The room was badly maintained too, including damaged sockets. It was hot, but there was no air conditioning, so I had to choose between traffic noise with the windows open or a loud fan. I felt itchy all over once I got into bed, though I can't say what caused it, perhaps the detergent. There were no plugs by the bed. I won't stay here again.

We've been staying here on and off for the last eight weeks, my husband, son and I. Ruth, the manager, is one in a million. She's wonderful with the guests, and from what I've seen, she's just as great with her staff. Everyone has been so accommodating, friendly, caring and helpful. Thank you all. We'll miss you when we leave.

I've stayed in worse places, but this was one of the worst Premier Inns I've been to. It didn't feel like it belonged to the same chain, and I expected a bit more from a Premier Inn. The mattress has probably seen better days, and there was dirt coming out of the cold tap. I wiped some onto a tissue and it was filthy. Everything was noisy, too. And the TVs are tiny, with a remote about the same size 😂

We got in at about 6.30pm and Ruth, the manager, welcomed us at check-in. She was lovely to talk to. The rooms were clean and well kept. Later, my little one got upset on the way back from the nearby restaurant. Ruth heard her and took time to soothe her and chat with both her and my eldest daughter. I'd really recommend the place, and Ruth is a big part of what makes it.

A handy place for an overnight stop if you're travelling to the ferries or Eurostar. The staff are always great, and although it's an old building, the rooms are kept spotless. There's plenty of free parking, just remember to register when you arrive. They don't serve food or drink here, but there's a bar next door and Nell’s cafe up the road does a great American-style breakfast.
