Jamie, the tennis coach, was fabulous, and I’d highly recommend a lesson with him. The hotel was beautifully decorated, the place itself was lovely and our room was great. It was a shame we couldn’t use all the facilities because work was going on and nobody had told us. Staff weren’t especially friendly or helpful, and communication was difficult. At times they seemed a bit rude.

There’s loads for families to do, and children and dogs are made to feel welcome. We felt right at home, thanks to staff who went out of their way to make the visit fantastic. The food was superb too. A shout-out to everyone working there, especially Warren and Chloe.

When I need to recharge, fritton is where I go. The trees and the water have an incredible generosity to them, and the staff are warm and considerate. The setting is beautiful, the food is fantastic, and there’s so much natural love here. To me, fritton is one of the UK’s most unique and beautiful places. Go to enjoy its natural beauty and see it for what it is, a shared, much-loved gem, rather than comparing it with other members’ clubs.

The lounge areas are lovely and relaxing, and the coffee and cappuccino are smooth, not bitter at all. We have club membership, which gives us access to outdoor grass sports, the play park, the kids’ bouncy pillow, the bar and the restaurant. We’ve had lunch there and it was tasty and fresh. I’ve heard dinner is really good, but we haven’t tried it yet.

This is a private members’ club and holiday centre, so it isn’t open to the general public. Guests stay in lodges around the grounds and can use the lake and pool for swimming, as well as the gym and a range of sports. There are lovely walks by the lake through the extensive grounds, and dining and other activities are available too.
