We didn't want to stay another night, so my boyfriend and I booked a different hotel as soon as we could. The room was basically just a bed, with nowhere to put luggage or anything else, which made it easy to trip over things. It was a hard, uncomfortable pull-out sofa bed, and I struggled to sleep. The place was dirty and smelled damp throughout, with mould everywhere. There was one shared bathroom across multiple floors, something that hadn't been advertised at all, and the online pictures were very misleading. It was obvious the hotel wasn't being cleaned properly, if it was being cleaned at all. Thank goodness we found somewhere else. We won't stay here again.

The staff member was lovely, so I have no complaint about her. But the place itself was a filthy mess, with rubbish all over and a terrible smell. We moved the bed and found loads more rubbish. It was the first time I've ever cleaned a room better than it had been when I arrived. I wouldn't bring children here or recommend staying.

The Collingwood Guest House is just a few metres from the beach, which made for a perfect location. Our room was nice, clean and tidy, with all the essentials. Breakfast was great, and the host was very nice and helpful. Can't complain at all, we'd highly recommend it. Thanks for a lovely stay!

The hotel photos used in the advertising don't look real. The place is in poor condition, with mould on the walls and carpet, dirty carpets and a dirty bathroom, wallpaper peeling away, and a strong damp smell. The kitchen wasn't available, so breakfast wouldn't have been possible even if we'd booked it. I wouldn't recommend eating there even if service were available. The condition of the hotel and rooms is terrible, and I can imagine why the kitchen is closed.
