We had a lovely stay, and we’ll be back. The location was ideal, with a sea view, the beach and Regent Road close by, plus lots of arcades to pop into before heading back for the evening. The hosts were welcoming and friendly from the moment we arrived, greeting us with a warm smile and a lovely fragrance. The outside looks beautiful too, with lights and a water fountain. Inside, everything felt neat and clean. I liked the fish tank on the stairs, which gave the place a homely feel. Our room was modern, comfortable and clean, with a handy mini fridge. The bedding was soft and felt really fresh. The shower worked perfectly. We had our own external bathroom, which felt more hygienic than an en-suite, and there was also a little sink and towels in the room. We didn’t have time for breakfast, but the menu and dining room both looked lovely.

The host made me feel uneasy about everything I did. They commented on my breakfast, Christmas dinner and how I came down the stairs, even though I’ve got rheumatoid arthritis and both hips done. I was also told I came down too early for breakfast. Then I heard I’d been talked about behind my back to other guests.

My husband and I stayed Monday to Friday at willows guest house. The sea view from our comfortable, clean room was lovely, and the breakfast was amazing, with plenty of choice. Carry and Taro were welcoming, helpful and professional, and still made time for a chat and a laugh. It’s a two-minute walk to the seafront, with the town close by too. Very good value for money. Thank you both for making us feel at home. Xx

We came for the arcades and cat cafe, and the guest house is right on the seafront, which was perfect. There was also 24-hour parking just outside. The hosts were lovely and let us check in earlier than planned, which worked out great. The house was so quiet we couldn’t hear outside noise, and our room had a lovely seafront view. Both the room and the shared bathroom were spotless. The bathroom was shared with just one other person, and we never had any clashes. It felt like a home away from home. Had a fab night here for my birthday weekend, and I’ll definitely recommend it and come back.

Great hotel in an excellent location, with a quality breakfast and wonderful hosts. We mentioned we had to leave early on Sunday to get flowers for my mum’s birthday, and they were able to provide flowers too. That meant we could head to the beach instead!
