The Winchester

We only stayed one night, but it was great value. Greg greeted us as soon as we parked, helped us out, and offered to carry our bags. The place is spotless, with a lovely mix of old and modern, and breakfast was fabulous. Nothing to complain about, and I’d definitely stay again.

Breakfast was just right, and the coast is only a few minutes away. Greg looked after me from the moment I arrived, and over four nights I found the hotel clean and full of character. My room was well laid out and had everything I needed. The kettle could do with descaling, and the shower and toilet were a bit small, but those are minor niggles. I got good value and would recommend staying here.

Sam’s cupcakes and cheesecake were delicious, and the food was prepared with great care for hygiene. Sam and Gregg are kind, humble, funny, and incredibly welcoming. They treat their guests so well. I’ve seen all sorts of people staying there, on breaks or for work, and whenever I’ve gone back, the guests have seemed happy. The cleaning was the most hygienic I’ve ever seen. Even when staff didn’t get every bit, the Boss would finish it himself because he loves things perfect.

What matters most to me is being able to relax in a clean place, and this B&B gets that right. We’ve stayed a couple of times for the Great Yarmouth Soul Weekender and hope to come back again. Greg and his wife are lovely, and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is excellent, and they leave homemade flapjacks or muffins in the room, which go well with the tea making facilities. Off road parking was easy. It’s a well established business, but everything is clean, which hasn’t been my experience at some other Yarmouth B&Bs. A good spot to recover after a night dancing.
