The Observatory we visited is close by, and the area around the inn is beautiful. We had a relaxed stay in a clean, comfy room, and the pub food was delicious. They even provided an extra bed for our daughter, which we really appreciated. A lovely little place to stay and eat. We’ll definitely be back! xx

We stopped here for one night while visiting Kielder Observatory, and the quiet location made it a great base. The hosts were lovely and very accommodating. A really lovely inn.

The food was freshly prepared and great, and the bar had a wide selection of cask ales. We found the inn traditional, cosy and appealing, with a warm welcome from the hosts. Kielder Observatory is about 30 minutes away. Super location, and I’d recommend it without hesitation.

The inn and its owners are lovely, and the meals were excellent. We stayed here on our way back from a holiday in Scotland. Our room could use a little TLC, but the bed and shower were nice and it was still very comfortable. The beautiful surroundings and the locals who come into the bar and restaurant, not just tourists, added to the stay. It’s dog friendly too, a big plus for us.

The staff and locals were really friendly, and the service, food and drink were all great. We enjoyed our two-night stay and our room was great too. We look forward to visiting again.
