Colin and Sue are friendly, attentive hosts who go above and beyond for their guests. Breakfast was particularly good and cooked to order. Our room was perfectly clean, the bed was really comfortable, and there was a fridge stocked with bottled water and fresh milk for tea and coffee. Ocean lodge is a great little B+B, just a two minute walk to the seafront, shops and restaurants if you dawdle. There’s plenty to do in Swanage and we plan to return. It’ll be our first choice.

Check-in was easy, and we were allowed to drop our bags off early. We didn’t try breakfast, but this B&B has all the little touches that make a stay pleasant, the things other places overlook. It was incredibly clean and modern, with high quality soft furnishings. There were plenty of toiletries and refreshments, plus a fridge with fresh milk and water. Swanage hotels can be expensive, so this is a great place.

The breakfast was a brilliant start to the day, cooked just right and there was lots of it. We’ve stayed at this lovely B&B before, and came back for two nights with my wife. It was just as good this time. The room was spotless, the bed comfortable, and the tea and coffee setup was excellent. Colin and Sue are warm, friendly, and always ready to help. A small shower issue was sorted straight away. We’d recommend it.

We’d gladly come back, especially for the good value and the welcoming, helpful hosts. Our room was spotless and very comfortable, with a view towards the pier and Swanage Bay. We stayed for a couple of nights in July. The only drawback was that cooked breakfasts weren’t available because of the Covid situation.

We came back for a second stay this year and were greeted so warmly. The room was lovely, and the breakfast might be the best we’ve had at any B&B so far. We love the place and plan to return next year.
