I really appreciated the little things while staying here with a toddler. They found us toddler cutlery, and the door catches were high enough to be out of his reach. The owner also suggested a lovely short walk, just right for my little son's legs. The lane to get there is narrow and muddy, but my car managed it fine. The annexe felt nicely private, and the owners were friendly and helped me keep the sitting-room fire going. It’s a homely, nicely decorated place in real countryside.

Breakfast arrived in a hamper at whatever time suited us, with meat, cheese, bread, cereals, yoghurt, berries and fruit. There was enough to keep some for a snack after a long walk, and several routes start right there. We stayed in the Shepherds Hut and will return. It was peaceful and private, simple but comfortable. Even the outside loo was clean and civilized, as was the lovely hot-water outdoor shower. Mostly we heard birds, the occasional sheep and a distant cock crow now and then. The hosts were lovely and helpful without intruding. A proper chance to wind down. There’s an old pub about a half-hour walk away, or five minutes by car.

What a lovely, relaxing weekend. The views were outstanding, and breakfast was so delicious. The owners were friendly and helpful, and Gill went above and beyond by bringing breakfast to us on a rainy morning. We had the best time here.

The cabin is in a fantastic, peaceful spot, with lovely villages and walks to explore nearby. I stayed in the beautiful self-catering cabin, which had everything needed for either a short visit or a longer stay.

The ancient cottage is a lovely, peaceful place to relax. Our hostess was very friendly, and breakfast was excellent. There’s also a cosy private sitting room with a wood-burning stove.
