Worplesdon Place Hotel

The day itself was amazing. The service was impeccable, the guests were impressed by the food, and we were over the moon to see everyone enjoying themselves. We were also lucky enough to have aperitifs in the back garden, a lovely bonus in October, though that wasn't guaranteed. Most of our guests stayed for the weekend and enjoyed the high standard of the rooms and the excellent breakfast. We got married at the Worplesdon Place in October 2024, and the venue, staff, and service took the best day of our lives to another level. My parents found the Worplesdon by chance when they were staying there from overseas. Tom the GM had just taken the reins, but took time to guide us through the options and planning. His support and regular check-ins helped keep everything on track, and requests were dealt with quickly, even though my wife knows what she wants! We've had a really good experience. I'd highly recommend the Worplesdon as a wedding venue, somewhere to stay overnight, or even just for a drink. 5*

I came in for a last-minute lunch with my two kids, and it was fantastic from beginning to end. The staff were lovely, attentive, and knew their stuff, and the food was delicious. Best fish and chips we've ever had, hands down, so crispy! Sticky toffee pudding and ice cream were just as good. There's a beautiful, large garden with a big duck pond and a kids' play area, so I bet it's lovely in summer. Looking forward to visiting again.

The food was absolutely delightful, and the whole visit left me feeling radiant, soft, and completely at ease. As a Thai traveler, I'd come especially to see this picturesque place I'd heard about, and it exceeded every expectation. The grounds are beautifully maintained, with lush greenery and serene surroundings that feel almost dreamlike. The pub and dining area have indoor charm as well as outdoor peace, whether you're having a meal or just relaxing under the open sky. I especially loved spotting the graceful black swans gliding and resting beside the peaceful lake. I adore animals, and swans are dear to my heart. Kira was so attentive and sorted every little request right away with a smile. Our family had Sunday lunch here for a 70th birthday, and from start to finish everyone made us feel special. The table looked beautiful, and the food was delicious and served promptly. The outdoor space was a bonus too, giving us somewhere to get fresh air and let the kids blow away the cobwebs. We've got an 80th coming up and have already talked about coming back to do it all again. Thank you, Kira and team, you were ace 💛
