Gisborough Hall

The private parking sits within the hotel's lavish grounds, and having a lift was handy. I stayed three nights in April 2026 for a wedding nearby. It’s a lovely period property, I think based in a stately home, with historical decor that suits its grand feel. The staff were polite and helpful, and my room was clean, well decorated and high quality, with a comfortable bed and bedding and a nicely sized bathroom. Dinner at the restaurant was tasty and good quality. Breakfast had a cold buffet as well as hot dishes cooked to order. It isn't cheap, but you get what you pay for. I enjoyed the luxury stay.

The food at De Brus Bar & Grill was excellent each night. We ate there every evening, and the straightforward English menu was done really well, with nearly every dish just right. Breakfast was first class too, with plenty to choose from and cooked items available to order. The 19th-century hotel has kept its period charm. Our room was large, spotless and thoughtfully laid out in a traditional style, and all the staff were pleasant and helpful. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my five nights here. I really can't fault the place. Full five stars from me, and I’d highly recommend it.

We had a lovely, quiet and relaxing one-night stay at this unexpected gem. Our spacious room had everything we needed, including an iron and board, hairdryer, tea and coffee, and water. The separate bath and shower were a nice touch. We ate at De Brus bar and grill, where the food was impressively good for a hotel. The sea bass, fish and chips, Eton mess and sticky toffee pudding were delicious. We’ll definitely stay again, and next time we’ll book spa treatments.

Breakfast was fantastic, with an amazing choice and brilliant service. I had Eggs Royale, cooked to perfection. We’ve just had a great two-night stay at a beautiful venue, with well-kept grounds and property. Our twin room was very good overall, though I would have liked a fridge.
