We had a splendid evening in a lovely atmosphere, with really good service. The staff were helpful and attentive while still giving us time to ourselves. We tried a range of starters, main courses, and pudding, and every dish was a hit. The food was fresh-cooked and superb.

We had the full Welsh breakfast and the stack for brunch, both piping hot and tasty, and good value. The professional, polite staff gave excellent service. It’s a beautiful, cosy place to get out of the horrible weather, and they served the best pot of tea in Monmouth. Can’t wait to visit again, thank you!

The pop-up evening had beautifully fresh-made plant-based vegan food, full of exciting flavours. The dining space was lovely and the service welcoming and friendly. I’ll definitely be back for more plant-based vegan food.

The dessert menu was such a treat. Since I’m coeliac, being able to choose any of them instead of settling for sorbet or a brownie felt like Christmas. I ordered the Toffee Apple Pie for the pastry, and it was gorgeous. My husband and I also had the roast lamb, which was so tender, with all the trimmings, cauliflower cheese, and a stunning Yorkshire pudding. The portions are big, so arrive hungry. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and the staff were warm and welcoming. They worked hard together without needing to be asked, and service was prompt and straightforward. As a coeliac, I really appreciated how well they understood it and how much of the menu I could eat. That’s a rare find. We came back in October and had another 10/10 meal and experience. I’d head straight to Creates next time we’re nearby, and I’d happily recommend it. I’m half tempted to move to Monmouthshire just to have it close by.
