Cwrt Bleddyn Hotel & Spa

We were at Cwrt Bleddyn Hotel & Spa from Friday until today for my uncle’s wedding, and had a lovely stay. The beautiful venue made the celebration feel extra special. Our family room was clean, comfortable, and very nice, and the staff were friendly, helpful, attentive, and always checking that we had what we needed. The food was great at the wedding and for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was especially nice, with staff making sure we were looked after. The barman and barwoman deserve a mention too, both were welcoming and helpful. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, and we’d happily recommend it for a special occasion.

Richard handled the wedding coordination more than perfectly. Everything was organised flawlessly and with great attention to detail, so we felt relaxed and supported all day. The food went beyond our expectations, and management and staff were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make sure we left with beautiful memories. After booking this venue 19 months earlier, my wife and I had grown worried by some negative reviews that made us fear our big day might not match our dream. Those worries disappeared as soon as we checked in. We had our dream wedding without a single fault, and our family and guests were all extremely happy and left with wonderful memories too. Thank you to the whole team for making our day unforgettable.

The old building gives the rooms and the place a historic feel, which I liked, and it’s nice for the price. The food was alright, nothing much to complain about there. But there’s a serious moth problem. There were so many that I found some in my mug, and they even tried to land on my phone screen while I was using it in the dark. There’s mold in the ceiling corners too, and the carpets seem quite old. They need professional cleaning as often as possible, or I don’t think the moths will go away. Moth traps won’t fix it either. If people stay longer than two days, they could end up with holes in their clothes from the moths eating the fabric.

The room was clean and spacious, with a nice bathroom, but there wasn’t a bath as stated when I booked. Breakfast at the buffet was good. Staff were friendly enough, though at check-in they didn’t offer information about facilities or breakfast times, and there was nothing in the room, so we had to ask. The spa facilities close at 6:30 pm, so bring something to do in the evening. We went for a relaxing night away, but kids and their parents were jumping into the pool despite signs saying not to, and no staff were visible around the pool. The pool was nice but dated and worn, like the decor inside. The outside looks good and the location is pleasant, but the interior needs investment and has a lot of potential.
