The Cwmcarn Hotel

The location is fantastic, right in the heart of the South Wales Valleys, and the dedicated venue room beside the bar was great. There was live music while we were there for the weekend, which we really enjoyed. You couldn’t hear any noise from the bedroom, and it didn’t go on late anyway. The family run place exceeded our expectations, from the super clean, spacious, beautifully decorated room to the friendly staff and locals. There are artistic, unique touches throughout. I’d highly recommend it as somewhere to stay and as a music venue. Well done Anja and family! A++

The staff I spoke with were all polite and friendly, and the bar had a lively feel with a pool table. There’s also a nice outdoor seating area. The accommodation and bar prices are very good. The room had a WC and shower, plus a kitchen area with a microwave, tea, and coffee. I had a fantastic time and will certainly stay again.

The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and all the facilities were clean and easy to access. For the price, you can’t go wrong. The staff were really helpful and friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed. I’ll definitely be back.

The countryside around here is lovely, and the ensuite room was beautiful. It had the comfort and professionalism of a Premier Inn, but with so much more warmth from the welcome. The kitchen was closed because of staffing, which was fine. When it's open, they deserve 6 stars. I was already planning a return as soon as I woke up.
