Mercure Newport Hotel

Arron made our visit to the Mercure Hotel a fantastic experience. He was friendly, professional, and attentive, and made us feel welcome at both the bar and restaurant from start to finish. Service this good feels rare these days. He’s a real credit to the hotel and clearly takes pride in his work. Thanks again, Arron. Highly recommend, five stars!

Breakfast was exceptional, the service was fantastic, and the rooms were very comfortable. The hotel is perfectly placed for exploring Newport. I’d highly recommend it and will definitely stay again.

It still feels like a brand new hotel, and both the rooms and public areas are spotless. The higher floors have fantastic views, and the central Newport location makes it easy to get around. There’s a very reasonably priced car park just opposite. Every staff member was professional and welcoming, especially Lynsey in the hotel bar, who went above and beyond to look after us. Thank you for an excellent stay.

My room was spacious and extremely clean, with fluffy towels, bathrobes, and a very comfortable bed. I slept really well. There’s also a small gym that’s a nice size for perhaps three or four people at once. The hotel is right in the centre, with plenty of places to eat and lots of pubs nearby. When I arrived, a friendly, polite woman had my room key ready and quickly recommended some local places to eat, which was helpful as I was new to the area.
