We found this a handy place to stay on the way to or from the ferry, and a great base for exploring the Wye Valley. The room was cosy and comfortable, and the proprietors were lovely.

We only stayed one night, but the room was huge and had a balcony looking over the River Wye. There was plenty of parking, and the pub and rooms were very clean. The drag night was brilliant. Food was pretty basic but fine, and breakfast came in generous portions.

Having a brilliant night here. The food is excellent, and everyone has been so friendly and welcoming.

The places nearer Tintern Abbey were shut, so we stopped here and were pleasantly surprised. Our Sunday lunch was really good, with plenty of meat and vegetables, and cost quite a bit less than the ones by the abbey. I'd definitely recommend it.

This pub was an unplanned stop, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. It's a straightforward, honest place with a good local feel and hard-working staff. The food was hearty and well cooked, though nothing fancy, and the service was fantastic. There's ample parking, a good location and a fair choice of beers. I was driving, so didn't try one. Thanks, I'd happily stop again when passing.
