Broadstone Park Camping & Fishery

The generous pitches and easy check-in made settling in simple, and the pay-as-you-use electric was handy. We spent four lovely nights here, with the site well placed for visiting the Wye valley. It has a relaxed rural feel, lovely lakes and ponds, and a few animals, including a gorgeous donkey and pig, a cute cat and wild fowl. The little bar serves drinks and breakfast, with great pizzas at weekends. Showers were hot and clean, and there are dishwashers, though no fridges or freezers. Good facilities without that holiday park atmosphere, which suited us perfectly. ☺️

Woodland walks start right at the campsite, and the kids had a brilliant time fishing. The bar had a great range of drinks, and the pizzas and breakfast were lovely, those were all we tried. Staff were friendly and happy to help whenever we needed it. A proper campsite with some nice extras. We had a great bank holiday, thankyou!

Geoff was so friendly and helpful, and the surroundings are beautiful. We stayed in our Campervan on a chilly, misty day in January and really enjoyed it. A hot chocolate with Baileys from the site cafe before bed was just the thing.

The pod was clean and cosy, and the heater was already on when we arrived. The owners were super friendly, and it’s a lovely spot by the woods with walks straight from the door. The peaceful fishing lakes are beautiful too. There’s a cafe/bar for breakfast and evening pizzas. Road noise was the main drawback. It wasn’t too bad inside the pod, but very noticeable when sitting outside. We got used to it after a day, and the larger four-bed pods set farther from the road might be quieter. Washing up space was limited to one small sink and two campsite dishwashers. I hadn’t come across those before, and there was no sign saying how much using one would charge your card. They didn’t seem to be switched on anyway. We’d definitely come back. There’s a fridge and freezer, plus a washer and drier for campers, in the green shed below the play area. Anything left in the fridge needs to be bagged and labelled.
