Tredegar Arms Hotel

The buffet was a hit, everyone said how good the food was. We held a joint party for my husband's 30th and my Nan's 80th, and the room was just the right size: spacious enough for entertainment such as a band, but not so big that it felt like we had to fill it with people. The staff were lovely and so helpful. Thanks again, we'll be back.

We had a great time here and will be heading back soon, once I've saved up again because we spent a bit on food! The food was tasty, though the sauce was a little bland and could use more kick. Drinks were great, my wife enjoyed the wine, and even the toilets were really clean and loud and proud. The pub restaurant and hotel were clean, and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. I'd highly recommend it.

They had spirits in every flavour, and the pub was lovely for a few Sunday afternoon drinks. The main bar was empty, though, and we were told at 5:40pm that they were closing at 6. That was a big disappointment, but I suppose it may not be worth staying open for very few customers.

The continental breakfast was a real pleasure, with plenty of fresh pastries, croissants, rolls, fruit and cereals, all replenished and nicely presented. The calm dining room and welcoming staff made it feel relaxed. We had a double and a twin on the third floor, both spotless and thoughtfully decorated in soft colours. The beds were extremely comfortable, with crisp sheets, fluffy pillows and cosy duvets. We stayed at The Tredegar Arms Hotel on 24 October, travelling with my husband and two guests. Even though we arrived late in the evening, the welcome was warm and put us at ease straight away. Everyone we met was friendly, attentive and genuinely caring, and nothing seemed too much trouble. The staff's pride in their work really showed. From the welcome to the rooms and breakfast, everything was faultless. We left feeling relaxed and looked after, and already planning to return. Thank you to everyone at The Tredegar Arms for a lovely, memorable stay.
