A good choice if you want the basics, with very clean rooms and nice beds. The staff were great and check-in went smoothly. Air conditioning was much appreciated in the hot weather, and breakfast was good value. There's free Wi-Fi. The shower is over the bath, and we would have preferred a separate shower.

The food was well cooked and presented, and the price was good. We came with family and friends, and the pub was clean and well kept. Staff were helpful, which came in handy because one person in our group is a bit fussy. We had an amazing time, 10 out of 10.

The staff were friendly, check-in was easy, the location suited my needs, and the bed was comfortable. But the room basics were disappointing for the price. There was no complimentary drinking water, and the bathroom had only soap, with no shampoo or conditioner. The toilet paper was very thin and scratchy too. It's okay if all you need is somewhere to sleep and you've brought your own toiletries, but I expected the essentials to be provided.

The hotel is well placed if you're driving, about five minutes from the Old Severn Bridge. It was also a reasonable walk into town to see the castle. The room was nice, and the pub was a pleasant place to spend some time.

Good value for two adults and a teenager sharing one clean, comfortable room. The staff were all friendly and helpful. It's about a 10-minute walk into Chepstow, and a handy base for getting around Wales and Southwest England.
