The facilities for younger children were excellent, and the gaming barn was a hit. The toilet, shower and washing-up areas were all clean and well maintained. We had a really enjoyable stay at this lovely family site. There were a few things to know. We booked two bags of firewood, but only one reached our pitch. We were out on a long walk and got back after reception had closed, so we went without a fire on the second night. It wasn't a major problem, though it's worth checking that all your bags have arrived. You can drive cars onto the pitching area, so now and then we heard doors closing late at night or early in the morning. It didn't spoil things. There was also an occasional sewage smell, noticeable at times but not strong enough to affect our stay. The Friday BBQ was really good and excellent value for money.

The Friday night BBQ was a lifesaver after we arrived for the weekend, and sometimes there are seconds. Maria and Guy are so friendly and welcoming that the stay felt relaxed from the start. The site is well cared for and close to the coast. Our dog also had a good space to run off lead. One small thing I forgot to mention while we were there: the gate wasn't latching properly. Given how well the site is run, I'm sure it will be sorted quickly. Another fantastic stay at Croft Campsite in Suffolk, and we'll definitely be back.

The Friday BBQ is a lovely social evening, with the hosts cooking and serving coleslaw, new potatoes and mixed salad. We also hired a fire pit, with wood and kindling included, and they cleared it away afterwards. For a fee, it felt well worth it, especially with campsite insurance costs these days. The facilities are clean and modern, and there are games and go-karts to check out on the website. Such a great find for camping with children. The hosts clearly love running this campsite.

There are loads of things for kids to play with, from swings and Lego to go-karts and table football, and the facilities are very clean. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the hosts are welcoming. They can do a Friday evening BBQ, freshly baked croissants and breakfast rolls too. You can tell they really care about this campsite. Can't recommend it enough.

Hartley hare's treasure hunt kept us busy over the weekend, and the sausage egg roll at breakfast on Sunday was delicious. Kids of all ages had something to do, from Lego and ping pong to pedal go-karts, which were a hit with everyone. A fantastic family campsite. We'll visit again soon.
