A friendly, capable welcome and all the essentials provided to a good standard. This homely, unpretentious guest house is excellent value, especially for single rooms. It may not have all the refined touches, but breakfast is included and excellent. We’d happily stay again.

A traditional guesthouse with a really friendly feel. Pearl is on the ball, the whole place is super clean, and breakfast is cooked perfectly to order. Book with confidence if you’d rather have a warm welcome than a faceless place where every room is the same and you never speak to anyone.

Pearl and David made me feel at home and were very accommodating. Breakfast was tremendous, and it’s an easy walk from the train station. I’ll come back next time I’m in Halifax.

A pleasant stay, with clean rooms and brilliant hosts. Breakfast was generous, though I’d have liked some apple juice. The shower pressure was a bit low, and the entrance hall could use scented candles or some Febreze. Thanks, Pearl!

The couple who run the B & B were lovely, warm and welcoming. We brought our dog, and they’d done their homework beforehand and already knew about him when we arrived. The beds were warm and comfortable, and the free wifi worked well. We’ll stay with them again. Thanks for a lovely visit.
