Kellah Farm B&B & Cottages

Breakfast was filling and superb, with a choice of full English, vegetarian English, or Haddock with eggs, plus toast. The owner was fantastic and made us feel welcome, and there was a lounge guests could use. Our room was clean and very comfortable. It’s a peaceful spot, though Haltwhistle is about 12 to 15 minutes away on country roads.

We’re setting off today to continue our walk to JOG, and this quiet rural stop has been just what we needed. Lesley had made lasagna and vegetables for us, very tasty and perfect for walkers, and breakfast was included and cooked. The room was great, and the downstairs lounge had a bigger TV. There’s also an honesty fridge with beer and vino. We came in on foot from the south east, taking a different route off a lane. Katie spotted us and welcomed us, then immediately showed us the drying room and laundry. Brilliant. Highly recommend. Thanks, Lesley and Katie.

We’re all well rested after our third visit over the years. Lesley, the owner, was friendly and easy to talk to. We brought the dog to escape the fireworks, and it was so peaceful that the dog loved it too. Plenty of lovely walks and fresh air.

The cottage was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated in a homely way. The kitchen was well equipped and had fresh eggs from the farm, while the living room felt cosy with its fire. There was a lovely back garden with chairs too. Upstairs was our favourite: a spacious, homely bedroom and a fabulously clean bathroom with a huge bath and shower. Everything was spotless, and the bathroom went beyond what we expected. Lesley greeted us when we arrived, showed us around, and gave us recommendations for nearby places to eat. On the morning we left, she checked whether everything had been up to standard, and it had been beyond that. Thanks to Lesley for making our three-night trip extra special. We’re planning to come back in summer to enjoy the cottage’s beautiful scenery.
