Castle Cottage Inn

Pattra and her team made it easy to eat at the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner throughout our Easter weekend. We also loved the special Aviation bar, a lovely place to unwind. The food and service were the best part of our visit. We had room 7, which was spacious, with partial views of Harlech Castle and Cardigan Bay. It had the essentials, including tea, coffee, biscuits, an ironing board, and a hairdryer, plus a very comfortable bed. I imagine the restaurant gets popular in warmer weather, so booking ahead seems sensible. It’s still worth asking Pattra, who will try to fit you in. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back.

Breakfast was a real highlight, and our room was spotless and beautifully looked after. You can tell how much care goes into the details, and the service stayed great throughout. Pattra runs the place and was exceptional. She welcomed us as soon as we arrived and showed us to our room. We only wish we’d stayed longer, and we’ll definitely return.

On our late September overnight stay, Pattra had all sorts of thoughtful treats waiting in the room, including Welsh cakes, biscuits, tea, and coffee. Dinner in the bar was delicious, and the full breakfast was tasty too. Pattra was delightful. I’d happily recommend this lovely inn and hope to visit again.

Pattra was a wonderful host, and our eight-year-old loved all the sweets she provided. We had a great stay and ate delicious Thai food in the Aviation bar, which has a fantastic view.
