We came back after a day of shopping to relax in the bright guest lounge and help ourselves to the honesty bar. The room was clean and comfortable, with tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite shower. We both slept well, probably after all that walking around the shops. Sandra, the owner, and her daughter Sarah did everything they could to make us welcome. They suggested good local restaurants, all within a short walk, when we weren’t sure where to eat. Breakfast was wonderful too. We had a full English one morning and kippers the next. Alexa House was a lovely home from home, and we’d strongly recommend it. We chose it for a last minute weekend away and were so glad we did. We’ll definitely be back.

Our room was peaceful and very clean, with everything we needed. The beds were wonderfully comfortable, so my husband and I both had a deep, restful sleep. Harrogate centre is just a ten minute walk from Alexa House. I highly recommend it, and we’d definitely book again.

We visit Harrogate two or three times a year and stay here every time. The rooms are clean and comfortable, breakfast is lovely, and the owners are very friendly. It’s in an excellent location, with private parking.

We stayed last Saturday night in room 11, one of the rooms by the car park. At £80 for one night with no breakfast, I felt it was overpriced. The room was very clean, but the shower was tiny. I don’t think I’d stay again, as you can get hotel rooms for less with a bigger bathroom.

The owners were welcoming, and the room was comfortable. It’s a nice place and a good base for a weekend in the area. The top floor rooms may not suit tall people, and I wasn’t keen on the handheld shower. I’d visit again, but would choose a lower floor.
