Ash Grove

It was our wedding night, and after a terrible stay at the White Heart in Harrogate, we had to switch hotels and rearrange the photographer and bridesmaids. My wife was treated so kindly here. The next morning, breakfast came with a small tray and flowers so I could bring her breakfast in bed, which had always been her dream. I’m so happy with the lovely room and service that we’ll be back. Thank you.

The breakfast was fabulous, beautifully cooked with quality ingredients, and there was a good selection of cold items too. We stayed three nights and were so pleased we picked the Ash Grove. Tabs gave us a lovely welcome, kept us informed about places to visit, and our room and ensuite were spotless, with high-standard furnishings and decor. It’s a five-minute walk into town, and we also used local buses. Each day we got a permit so the car could be parked safely a minute from the guesthouse. We’d highly recommend Ash Grove if you want a mid-range guesthouse with a warm welcome and spotless rooms. Ray and Lynn.

We’ve visited lots of places in Harrogate over the last thirty years, and it’s a fabulous northern town for a weekend or midweek break, with plenty of sights and gentility. There’s a lot of accommodation to choose from, and this time we stayed at Ash Grove Guest House. It felt like home from start to finish. Tabs is an indomitable host who exudes instant karma, and her well-situated, four-star-rated B&B offers first-class value and makes it easy to get into the town centre. We had a faultless few days, thanks to her care for the spotless amenities, great breakfasts, and our every need. We recommend it and will return.
