Rebecca and her team made my 60th birthday meal a really happy occasion. I'd only visited once before, under the old management, but they were warm and helpful from the start. We booked for 18 adults and 6 children for Sunday 23rd Nov 25 and left a very reasonable £50 deposit. Pre-ordering worked brilliantly for a group that size. Everyone got the right meal, and when I accidentally missed two relatives off the order, Rebecca's team quickly sorted it out. The food was excellent, most people had two courses, and I heard nothing but praise. Rebecca checked in with me throughout the meal to make sure everything was okay. The upstairs room had its own bar, there was plenty of space, and the atmosphere was great. Paying was easy too, as everything was listed. We were staying in nearby Lodges and don't live locally, but hope to return next year for our family reunion. Thanks to Rebecca and all the staff for helping make lovely memories.

Friends recommended the place while we're visiting them. The pork bites were fantastic, and I really enjoyed the Sunday roast beef with its lovely gravy. Keep up the good food and friendly atmosphere. We'll be back.

The Jennings Room was just right for our christening celebration, and the service was lovely. We held a party for 20 people at The Mill Wheel in Heartshorne after our original venue cancelled only two weeks beforehand. Rebecca and the team stepped in without hesitation, and made rebooking easy and stress-free. On the day, everyone was welcoming, attentive, fun and professional. The food came on time, hot, nicely presented and delicious. Every guest said how good it was. Huge thanks to Rebecca and the whole team for going above and beyond. We'll definitely visit again. We've been there before and still couldn't find a fault. The Sunday roast was amazing: I chose lamb and my wife had beef, both presented beautifully. It was lovely to enjoy Sunday dinner with such professional service. You won't be disappointed.

On my second visit to The Mill Wheel, it's still been a great experience. The bar staff are wonderful and welcoming, and the service was professional and courteous. We were hoping for the amazing carvery cobs, but the menu had changed. What we ordered was still excellent and well worth the money: I had Fish Goujons with salad and tartar sauce on Ciabatta, my brother in law chose Stilton and Steak on Ciabatta bread, and my sister had Cheese and ham. A wonderful place, and a full rating from me.
