Keith was easy to communicate with and even suggested things to see in Hastings, which I was glad to check out. I also got to pet Misty, the silver labrador, which was a lovely part of travelling solo in England. I stayed for two nights, and getting into my room was simple even though I arrived after check-in hours. It's a great hostel in a really good spot, with warm, friendly service. I'd definitely recommend it.

The beds are very firm, which isn't my preference since I like a soft or medium mattress. That's just a personal choice, though. Everything else was wonderful: the rooms are lovely, the view is great, and the staff and their dog are so friendly and welcoming. If firm beds suit you, I'd highly recommend staying here.

Keith was so friendly, remembered my name, and always had a kind word. The accommodation was really good value, and the location made it easy to head to the beach and fit in plenty of swims. I loved my stay at Alexander's and will be back!

A fantastic coastal room and excellent service. I'd definitely stay here again.

My top-floor single room at Alexander’s was really nice, and the staff were very friendly. I stayed in April and enjoyed it so much I'd rate the place 100 out of 100. If you're seeing a show at the nearby theatre, it's only about a four-minute walk.
