The hosts make you feel welcome, and breakfast is lovely. I really like the medieval decor throughout. It’s about a five-minute drive to the beach front, and local shops and takeaways are only a couple of minutes away on foot. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

Phil and Michelle put a lot of care into creating the medieval setting, and it works brilliantly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return. The hosts were attentive and ready to help whenever needed, and breakfast felt very personal. Thanks, Phil and Michelle. From Ash and Jan.

There were lots of nice little extras in the room, including a big choice of teas and a mini fridge stocked with apple and orange juice, milk, and bottled water. The hosts were so welcoming. My fella and I will definitely be back, and I’d highly recommend it.

We felt at home at Minstrel's Rest. Phill & Michelle have put so much effort into the decor, and it’s one of the most distinctive guesthouses we’ve stayed in. The room was super comfortable, with a modern en suite bathroom, and our host was very friendly. Breakfast was probably the best we’ve found in Hastings. We’d highly recommend Minstrel's Rest to anyone visiting.

The couple who run the place were really welcoming and have gone all in on the fantastically medieval theme. The bathroom was very clean, the duvet was lovely and soft, and breakfast was very good. It’s under half an hour’s walk to the seafront.
