The terrace has one of the best views in Hastings, and it's a popular spot for coffee or beer. Prices are reasonable, though it can get very busy and the wait can be long. The pier isn't much to look at just now, but we hope to see it back soon.

The location is fantastic, the staff are great, and the rooms are clean and spacious. We had a sea view room, and the shower was one of the best I've ever used in a hotel. I'd happily come back and stay again.

The people really make this place. Everyone is welcoming and professional, and the atmosphere is friendly, relaxed and casual, just right for chilling out. Food is good value too, with generous portions, great quality and no fuss. Our room had a sea view, a big comfy bed, enough space and everything we needed. There's off street parking, and you're right by the beach and town. The quirky layout has plenty of charm, and for the price it's brilliant. In a world of bland corporate hotels, this independently owned place is a tonic. You get clean rooms, a comfy bed and WiFi, without the extras you don't need. There are no club points or crappy gym, and the staff aren't in uniform, but who asked for that? You can call the actual front desk and speak to a person to book, with no complicated rules or upselling. A little gem on the south coast.

We always enjoy coming back to the Whiterock Hotel, and being able to bring the dog is a huge bonus. The restaurant and bar food is lovely, served by cheerful staff. It's great to sit on the veranda with a pint or latte and look out to sea. Room service is great too. I only held back a room star because it could use an update. The cream walls and door frames make it feel old and smoke damaged. Looking forward to coming back soon.

I stayed for one night. The room was a good size and had everything you need, and all the staff were polite, friendly and helpful. I only had breakfast, but the food was very nice and the prices were reasonable. Yes, I'd recommend it.
