The White House

We were very well looked after by our attentive host, and breakfast was delicious, with plenty of cereal, juice and other choices. The Blue Room was beautifully furnished and comfortable, with lovely views over the landscaped garden to the sea. The double shower was powerful and hot. Hot chocolate and marshmallows were left out in the evening, a nice touch. I'd certainly stay again.

The gardens and Breakfast Room have fantastic views, and the breakfast was perfect, made with very high quality ingredients. My room was immaculate, with thoughtful extras you might not find in much pricier hotels, including Strathmore bottled still water and a cafetiere with Colombian coffee. Jason gave me a very warm welcome, and the complimentary hot chocolate with marshmallows at 8pm was lovely. I was here for work nearby, but would encourage anyone to stay for a holiday or long weekend. The people running the hotel clearly care about the details.

The views across the valley are amazing. My photos look as if they were taken in the Mediterranean in summer! The Whitehouse was one of the best places I've stayed. The accommodation is tastefully themed, the pool is just the right size, and the gardens are lovely to walk around. I would have loved to have my wedding here, but there would have been too many of us.

The weather was the only downside to our anniversary treat, and Hastings itself is a lovely place to visit, so we'll be back. Jason was a first class host: he covered everything when we arrived, asked about our dietary requirements and made us feel welcome. Nothing was forgotten. Thanks again for a lovely stay.
