Premier Inn Portsmouth - Havant

The restaurant attached to the hotel put us off straight away. The staff member who greeted us was frosty and didn't say hello, so we turned around and went elsewhere for dinner. We skipped breakfast there too and looked for a friendly welcome and good food in Portsmouth. The hotel itself was a positive experience: parking was easy, the team welcomed us warmly and helpfully, and the room was fresh, clean, and comfortable for our one-night stay. The only issue we noticed was that the shared corridors and stairs could do with some attention to the decor. We visited on 19/01/26.

We chose this hotel for its location near our family, and this was our second stay. Our family room was a good size for four and was clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly, and the service was excellent. Olivia welcomed us at the restaurant and was especially polite, helpful, and warm. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choice. We'll definitely be back.

Breakfast was well worth it, with a fantastic cook and polite, caring staff. The site was in a great location for us, and I'll definitely stay here again. I stayed in one of the refurbished rooms on Friday 28th of November for a works party. It was clean, tidy, nicely presented, and had no unpleasant smells. The reception team were very friendly and professional when we arrived, and I enjoyed the stay a lot.

The view faced a car park and wasn't much to look at, but it didn't spoil my holiday. I don't stay in hotels often, and this was one of the best I've tried. The food was lovely, especially breakfast, and the bar and surroundings were clean. I felt welcome from the moment I reached reception. The lounge was really comfortable, and the rooms were my favourite part: so clean and incredibly soft, I felt like a baby. I'd stay again!
