Bedrule Old Manse B&B

A really lovely cabin in a peaceful spot, with horses in the field opposite. It had everything we needed, including a fully fitted kitchen with an oven and dishwasher.

We loved staying in one of the glamping pods. It was very clean and just as described, and the welcome basket had fresh farm eggs, milk and homemade cookies. If you're visiting the borders, you must stay here!

The pod was even better in person than the pictures suggested, and Paul and Stuart had thought of all the little details. We were there in late January in freezing, stormy weather, but the hot water, underfloor heating and electricity all worked perfectly. The hosts kept in excellent communication and were very kind, even offering us breakfast in the main house. It was a quiet time of year, but I'd ask about that if you can, because the food was exquisite. Five-star quality and surroundings, and we'd love to return in summer.

My family had a lovely time at the beautiful, luxurious glamping accommodation at Bedrule, which is built to a high standard. The kitchen was well equipped, with even a separate fridge for wine. Outside there's a pleasant seating area and a barbecue surrounded by benches, with everything supplied to light it. Two friendly horses in the opposite field are a nice bonus if you love animals. Some of us stayed in the Bedrule B&B, but we all visited and sat by the fire outside. There are well-recommended places to eat a short drive away. It's a perfect base for a couple exploring the Scottish Borders, and we'd love to come back.
