I stopped at this lovely café for a quick lunch and would come back. The lentil soup was lovely, there are a few vegan options, and the staff were friendly. The two tables at the front are dog friendly, and they have highchairs and good choices for children.

The museum about the area’s weaving history was a great find. There’s dress-up for the kids and views of local buildings connected with the industry. Staff were welcoming and helpful, and I loved the experience. We’d first popped in and found a fantastic collage art exhibition by Alison burke. She was there to explain the meaning and process behind her work, and refreshments were provided.

A great spot for lunch or for coffee and cake. They have vegan options for cakes and bread, plus oat and soya milk.

A quiet, relaxing spot for a cup of tea and a slice of cake.

Such a welcoming atmosphere, with welcoming people too, just as the name suggests. I had hot chocolate and a slice of cake for lunch. If you ask for marshmallows, you won’t need anything else to eat.
