Premier Inn Hayle

The room was clean and everything worked. I was on the second floor of what felt like 'the annex'. The window wouldn't lock. I told reception, but I'm not sure anyone looked at it, and it still wasn't fixed when I left. There was some A30 road noise into the small hours. Brewers fayre next door had an adequate menu at good prices, which was handy since you're a little out of the centre of Hayle proper.

The location and parking were excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed for five nights, but got different answers about how to get clean towels and were asked whether we wanted the rooms serviced every day. They had no extra pillows when we asked. I've stayed in Premier Inns a lot, and this one could use an update to the decor. Brewers Fayre seemed very understaffed and didn't have the full menu, though its staff were welcoming.

The food was terrible, and the poor hygiene made the stay uncomfortable. The room was extremely dirty, with visible mold on the walls and curtains, and the floors hadn't been vacuumed properly. Cleanliness and comfort fell below even a basic standard. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

The staff were amazing and couldn't have been more helpful, especially Jamie. The room was comfortable, clean and convenient, and I had a very pleasant stay. WiFi kept dropping, so it wasn't really usable in my room. There was no mini fridge, either. When I needed lactose-free milk, the receptionist had to go back and forth to Brewers Fayre next door for me. It wasn't convenient, and without planning ahead I couldn't really have tea or coffee in my room first thing.
