The car park is the one serious drawback. As other reviews have said, it’s run by an unscrupulous independent company. Enter your registration as soon as you arrive, and get proof if you can. The pub itself is good and well kept, with a great choice of food, generous portions, and amazing taste and quality. I’d definitely recommend a visit.

We came across this place by chance after car trouble, and the welcome couldn’t have been better. Everyone was so helpful and hospitable. It’s a lovely pub, restaurant, and hotel, with nice rooms and generous portions of great food. We’ve found a gem and will be back.

I stopped for a pint and parked in their car park, which left me with a £100 parking fine. I’d never had trouble there before, but after this I won’t be coming back.

The lunch was mediocre, and it turned into a very expensive one when I got a £100 parking fine for using their car park. You’re meant to register on their system, and even that might not work, so be careful or avoid the place. There are plenty of good rural pubs nearby with better food and free parking. I’d give this one a miss rather than take the chance.

The room was lovely, warm and cosy on a dull December day. The food was faultless, both at dinner and breakfast, and the bar service was great. Would I come back? Yes, of course.
