We loved gathering the family for a few days to celebrate a 95th birthday. The rooms were comfortable, and it was lovely to have the pool and hot tub, plus a big kitchen and dining room for cooking and eating together. There was plenty of space to spread out in the social areas, and the dogs loved exploring the grounds. As we left, a squirrel kit said goodbye, and it was remarkably brave!

Everyone had a brilliant time at Sychnant, and I’m sure we’ll all be booking again soon. We just got back from a wonderful long weekend celebrating a joint 40th, with plenty of room for our large group. The facilities were great, with everything we could need, and the indoor pool was fantastic. Everyone was happy with their bedrooms. Downstairs, the communal spaces had everything we needed: a massive kitchen, great dining area, comfortable lounges with wood burners, and a room with a great pool table. Can’t wait to go back.

We’ve brought our extended family here for the last two years, and each time we’ve come away delighted. It’s a real gem, with room for lots of people to stay comfortably. In my view, a group of around 10-12 is the smallest that makes sense. Thanks so much for making space for everyone, especially with our different needs.

We had everything we needed at the house, so our group of 32 didn’t have to go anywhere during our three nights there. The kitchen, big shared spaces, dining room, gym, pool, hot tub and garden all got plenty of use. Every room having its own bathroom felt like a luxury, and the price was still very reasonable. We were there to celebrate my Dad’s 70th birthday, and it couldn’t have suited the occasion better. I’d absolutely recommend it for a group celebration.

The kids were happy exploring both indoors and out, and we all had a great week celebrating with 40 family members. The pool was popular all day, every day. Some expected it to be warmer, but once you were in, it felt perfectly comfortable. Cooking was a pleasure in the roomy kitchen, especially with all that pantry space, which we used a lot. There was room for all 40 of us at the dining table, though it felt a bit tight until everyone had sat down. When the weather allowed, eating outside was a lovely extra. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were nice in every room. I only saw the one room I stayed in, but nobody had any complaints. We’d love to return, since we only got to see a little of what’s nearby.
