Travelodge Hereford

I’ve stayed here several times, usually over Christmas and New Year. The rooms are pretty much what you’d expect, and the main appeal is how easy it is to reach and how close it is to the city centre. There’s no bar or similar, but Sainsbury’s is just a stone’s throw away, so you can get what you need nearby.

There was plenty of parking, and the walk into the centre wasn’t too long. The route has bends that may make it difficult for people with disabilities, though it can be managed. The rooms were somewhat clean, but the hand soap hadn’t been refilled before we arrived.

At the saver rate we paid, the room was fine and good value. Free parking and an easy walk into Hereford’s centre were the main advantages. Unlike other Travelodges we’ve stayed at, this one had no bar or restaurant, nowhere to relax except the room, and no breakfast option.

I stay here now and then when I’m working nearby. The front desk staff are always friendly, and the basic rooms are usually clean and tidy. Wi-Fi is a little unreliable but adequate. Prices can swing a lot. When they reach £150, I don’t think it’s worth it. To me, it’s really an £80-£90 hotel.
