Premier Inn Hull West

The location is quiet, on Hull’s western edge just off a roundabout, and easy to find. It’s not the spot I’d choose for things to do nearby. Guests can park free, but remember to register on the reception tablet or the ANPR camera may result in a charge. Reception staff were really friendly. Breakfast is in the adjoining pub, which you can enter through a connecting door; service was OK but a bit frosty, and some of the chairs had ripped cushions. My room had no air conditioning, so a fan was already running when I arrived. It’s an older-style Premier Inn, with comfortable rooms that look overdue for refurbishment and no Premier Plus touches like a coffee machine. The shower leaked at the tap’s back, so most of the hot water came out there instead of the shower head, leaving me a little chilly each day.

My wife and son got to walk on the Bridge. Just don’t sit there too long, even if you’re minding your own business and taking a break. The police came over to check if we were OK. I guess there are a lot of people who jump.

For our two nights near Hull, we wanted breakfast and an evening meal, and this Premier Inn with the Brewers Fayre suited us. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were very polite. The bar is a bit pricey, but all in all we’d recommend it.

We stayed in a family room while visiting family just five minutes away. The beds were comfortable and it had what we needed for a good night’s sleep. We’ll come back.
