The rooms have lots of character, are nicely furnished, and have lovely en-suite shower rooms. We also had an excellent breakfast with varied, interesting choices. The food was very good, with plenty of choice, great quality, and lovely presentation. It’s a fabulous pub in a great location, and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. Couldn’t fault it. I’d definitely visit again.
We were squeezed in at the very last minute by a welcoming host with a fantastic beard, and ended up having one of the best meals ever. Absolutely gorgeous food, and they know how to make a great gin and tonic too, with lots of fresh fruit. Very impressed. We’ll definitely come back.
Every course at our Christmas Day feast was spectacular, and the staff were such a friendly, welcoming bunch. The price included crackers, bubbly, and a bottle of wine, and the food came without any waiting around. We had a fabulous time and left completely stuffed. Worth every penny, and I hope they do it again next year.
Lunch was delicious. My husband had pork belly with garlic mash, and I had the mushroom risotto. The welcome was warm, the atmosphere comfortable, and the service excellent. Would happily recommend it.
The dog got a couple of biscuits and a bowl of water, which was a nice touch. The place was clean and spacious, with a lovely interior, beams, and decent parking. The food was terrific and well worth the price, and service was impeccable. Thank you.
